Brickworks in Gloucestershire

  • A second-hand dryer was supplied to dry soft mud clay bricks in 24 hours, previously the bricks took 5 days to dry. The installation of this dryer reduced the customer’s gas consumption by 50% and the payback time was 12 months.
  • The above dryer was subsequently extended to double the capacity and made into 2 zone control.
  • Re-commissioning of gas kiln. After the work had been completed the temperature uniformity was improved which allowed the customer to reduce the firing cycle and gave better quality production.
  • Pressure control dampers installed on an updraught gas kiln. After the installation the gas consumption was reduced by 15%.
